of information is ensured, while quality of content is never

performed on one Federal web site of over 10,000 pages. One criteria
for the evaluation was overall site quality. The web site was
highly rated for quality, and additional changes only improved
site performance.
Several criteria factor into overall site quality. Is the information
contained on the site's web pages relevant to people that access
the site? Is the information old or superseded by later information?
Has the web page itself passed its expiration date? Are new subject
matter experts available to update content? Have they done so?
Are new content managers editing the web pages information? Do
they have a positive outlook on the site?
Answers to these and other questions contribute to the quality
