Web Page Management System
-
- An Overview
- webZerve
is designed for a dispersed development environment. A request
module is built in to track requests from multiple content managers
assigned to multiple developers. Based on an Oracle database,
the Verity search engine, and designed to work on a variety of
platforms, the system can handle large quantities of information.
webZerve ties web pages to a configurable database. Every
web page making up a site is managed by a single responsible
organization. webZerve was initially developed to report
on timeliness of web pages by automatically flagging pages for
review or retirement. Therefore it sets regular web page review
cycles. Active and returned page status is continually monitored.
webZerve increases access to web-based information. Working
through any web browser, the system offers transparency to search
engines, and includes a built-in meta-tag module that assigns
meta tags by any of several criteria including Fast Tag
that assigns a subset of meta tags on demand. WebZerve is richly
supplied with pre-set and customizable meta tags.
